Dear Colleagues,

The Indiana Center for Intercultural Communication (ICIC) announces the 7th Intercultural Rhetoric and Discourse Conference to be held at Indiana University Purdue University (IUPUI) in Indianapolis, IN, August 9-11, 2012.

Call for Papers:

Papers to be presented during concurrent sessions are invited on topics including (but not limited to):

• theoretical and empirical investigations
• writing in school and college
• language and culture specific studies
• writing in business & professional settings
• changing methodologies for research
• orality and literacy connections
• practical applications
• critical approaches to contrastive rhetoric
• teaching and classroom practices

Deadline for Submission: November 1, 2011

Abstracts should be no more than 250 words, typed on a single page. Abstracts should describe papers which will be presented in a 20 minute session, followed by a 10 minute discussion.
